How To Choose A Home Cinema ProjectorProjector TVs, since past few years, have been providing an ultimate home theater experience and creating a silver screen atmosphere in many homes. As consumers are witnessing vast technological developments and up gradations in the market daily, home theater projectors are getting more affordable and readily available. They provide a true viewing experience, making a family room feel more like a mini theater. More and more people are now turning to set up their own home cinema as creating a home theater at home has never been so easy and affordable. But with different designs of projectors coming to the market daily and as they are very different from other TVs, it is quite difficult to choose a good home theater projector. Here are some factors that are worth considering while looking for a home cinema projector:

  • First you have to set your budget and decide the purpose of your projector. Projectors can be sometimes very expensive, especially the high quality projectors and the new models coming to the consumer market. But those projectors are not portable.
  • Then you have to finalize a space where you are going to keep or mount your projector TV and measure the area perfectly to know the maximum space needed to fit your TV.
  • Choose according to your preference, from a front projection TV or a rear projection TV. There’s huge difference between them as front projection TV consists of two pieces – projector and the screen, but a rear projection TV is all in one. If you are a little tight on budget, opt for cathode-ray tube projectors.
  • Today, most of the projectors use LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) and LCD technology with different resolution specifications. The maximum resolution is 1920*1080 pixels; higher the screen resolution, greater is the detailing in your image. Hence, when buying a projector TV, consider projector with the highest screen resolution to enjoy high-definition movies.
  • Every projector comes with its own set of strengths and weaknesses; it may perform differently according to the lighting conditions of the room. A projector TV mainly depends on three factors; resolution, contrast ratio and the brightness of the screen. Brightness is measured in ‘lumens’ and a projector of at least 1000 lumens should be preferred.
  • If you are planning to watch movies at night, the best option is to keep the projector on a flat surface like a table. Or if you want a dedicated home theater system, mounting it on the ceiling would be an appropriate option.

A home cinema projector brings a complete high-definition viewing experience to your own home and projector TVs is the perfect choice to convert your room into a home theater.
